121 Royalty-Free Audio Tracks for "Old Computer"

I've made this sound with my broken old microphone and then edited it in audacity.

A dark minor chord progression made with a vintage synth plugin on fl studio.

My girlfriend's 4 year old daughter was playing a game on the computer when a woman's voice began giving directions on how to play. This is a recording of the raging battle that ensued. I used my olympus ws-310m for this recording.

Recorded from line-in from a 13-year-old boombox tuned to the bottom of the am dial and moved around near the computer and printer. You can hear the base computer noise, then at 00:17 you start to hear the radio get closer to the printer which is off but plugged in.

An old-ish compaq desktop from 2008 booting up. Recorded with the ps eye microphones. I believe this is my first true stereo recording.

A late '90s desktop pc booting. The first few seconds are most eventful. Recorded with a zoom h1n, which was not completely stationary while recording (i was holding a small tripod). Includes pc speaker, fan, diskette drive and lots of hard drive noises.

Recorded from line-in from a 13-year-old boombox tuned to the bottom of the am dial and placed near the computer. You can hear the cd-player starting up, working, stopping, working again. At one point i skip through a track with winamp creating a choppy sound. When the cd player stops you can hear the base computer noise.

An old hard drive starting up. The idle sound is from the hard drive itself and not the computer's fan noise. Some minor editing has been done to remove a slight bass rumble from the computer's fan. Recorded on sony pcm-a10.

Super retro tape deck sound effect from a cassette player in a car. It has the click and reel sound effect, like you just popped a tape in and its starting.

Old music file on my computer labeled 'attack on earth' i clearly never finished whatever i was trying to work on. Made using the vst micromodular and fl studio 10 some time in 2012.

I switched on and off an old tape recorder. You can hear hum noise like an early synthesizer. The reason why it makes such noise is not sure, but that's the most important part of analog devices. Computer software cannot do that.

Pc speaker sounds, recorded by mic'ing the tower. Quite noisy, but still very funky in a beat. I used bawami to get my own midi files to play through the pc speaker in order to produce these sounds.

Recorded myself typing on our old desktop computer's now garbage keyboard likely over a decade ago with my old nokia e66 smartphone. I then edited this recording yesterday to find out how much i would be able to improve the already decent quality. Takin from home recording in cup board moving things for the stacking room. New app by mac for constables will make cellphone cameras not work when close to bad activity so no one cn make pictures to show. It might sound like this in cellphon. I make with very old radio station microphone on apple computer. Some adjusters work, some do not. I try long time. Crazy sound!.

Electro-magnetic interference from a desktop computer, and an at&t; cordless phone handset cl82301 when held near the internal ferrite antenna on the back right of a 13-year-old boombox listening to the am broadcast band. Recorded 2 years ago so i forget where i was listening. Recorded with goldwave from line-in. You hear emi from the computer at first, then i bring the phone on standby near the radio and you hear a series of nearly pure tones. The phone comes on and you hear a distorted dial tone. I move the phone away from the radio for a few seconds and you hear the computer again, then i bring the phone near and you hear a distorted busy signal. I disconnect and the phone continues sending to the base for a few seconds so you just hear a hum, then the idle tones are heard, then the computer noise as i remove the phone.

The beep tones my old pager makes when it is turned on. There are a couple 'boot up' beeps followed by the 'low battery' warning beeps. I needed some of this sound to use in a theatrical production [ a new brain ]. I recorded it on my laptop computer using a cheep condenser mic and audacity.

Sounds of an old hard disk drive from 2005 (hitachi). You hear starting of the spinning noise and the heads rumbling when data is read and written. I started a short defragmenting to make the disk noisy. Recorded with a roland r-05.
